FJ
The second largest economy in the world has just recorded an eighth monthly decline in foreign trade.
In October China foreign trade declined by 9 %, reaching 2,060 billion yuan ( 324.62 billion US dollars) according to official data. After falling by 8.8% in September , this new decrease is observed for the 8th time this year.
Of the first 10 months of 2015, Chinese trade (exports and imports combined ) decreased by 8.5 % while the planned target was an increase of 6 %. For the Ministry of Commerce, the export value this year should be equivalent to those in 2014 , while imports are expected to fall sharply in the 4th quarter .
In 2016, a steady growth in exports and imports is expected because of the measures already taken to support foreign trade.
