Competition in the catering sector

3 companies stands out from the rankings on the French market for catering.

TOP 5 according to turnover: 

1 -  Sodexo (2.109 million euros)
2 -  Elior (1662000)
3 -  Compass (1,144 million)
4 -  Apli Restauration (272 million)
5 -  Ansamble (136 million).

 
The major part of the Compass Group turnover is made with sales of United Kingdom (20%) and U.S. (40%).

France only represent  8% of its activity, but Compass wishes to continue his conquest of the French market.

The group Compass  highlights the diversity of its offerings. The group has developed three brands to better meet demand:

- Eurest (1,000 restaurants) for companies and administrations,
- Scolarest (700 restaurants) for school meals
- Medirest (700 restaurants) for rest-homes
