Exports have not recovered their pre-crisis levels

Dutch exports of fruit and vegetables have not recovered their pre-crisis levels.
On the first 3 quarters of 2011, exports of fruit and vegetables decreased by 8% compared to the same period in 2010. Exports amounted to 1 654 000 kg, against 1 799 000 kg in 2010. Concerning the month of September 2011, the figure is only 2% lower than in September 2010.
Over the same period compared to 2010, exports to Germany have decreased by 12%, those to the UK of 9%, exports to Russia by 15% and those to France by 18%.
Exports grew of 2% to Italy, which increased its purchases of peppers and tomatoes, but decreased its purchases of pears, cabbage and carrots. Exports to Poland increased by 21% mainly for cucumbers, cabbage and leeks.
