Raspberry season has started in Ukraine

Based on the recent information, raspberries season has started this week in Ukraine. Due to cold spring weather, raspberries producers have started harvesting berries 1 week later against standard yield terms. It stands to mention that raspberries prices are 2 times lower comparing to the previous season figures this week in Ukraine. At the current moment raspberries costs vary from 1,2 EUROkg to 1,6 EUROkg, while last year prices comprised approximately 1,22 – 2,45 EUROkg. Current season lower costs could be traced to high yield of berries this year in Ukraine. Also worth noting is that current season yield is predicted to grow by 8% / croppage by 5% in Ukraine.
