Mandarins of the South to thank the mushroom donation of the North. South Korea has just sent four planes loaded with mandarins to North Korea, which had previously donated mushrooms to South Korea.
In a press release, the South Korean presidency announced the shipment to North Korea of 200 tons of mandarins. Seasonal fruit in the South and rare fruits in the North of the Korean peninsula. The fruits come from the southern island of Jeju and were transported by military planes to Pyongyang (capital of North Korea).
Previously, at a summit meeting between the two countries, North Korea offered its neighbor to the South 2 tons of Matsutake mushrooms, very popular in the country.
This exchange reflects efforts to improve diplomatic relations between the two countries.
