Launching of an Italy-Egypt project for exports

Italy will help Egypt for its fruits and vegetables exports in the EU.
An Italian financing of 5,9 million euros (59,4 million Egyptian pounds) has been invested in Egypt within the framework of debt exchange between the two contries. This "Green Trade" project aims at helping Egypt to export its fruits and vegetables in EU countries.
This support will be allocated to different sectors : farming improvement, quality control, logistics, electronic links with importing countries. It will also concern the most exported products in the European market : sweet peppers, tomatoes, strawberries, grapes and melons.
