Birth of a new giant

The reconciliation of COEXPHAL and ECOHAL will give birth to a new industry giant.

COEXPHAL and ECOHAL announced the start of negotiations for integration, the meeting of common interests after decades of rivalry.

The new structure will be one of the most important entities in the sector in Europe. Together COEXPHAL and ECOCHAL represent more than 2,400 million euros in revenues , about 3.5 million tonnes of fruits and vegetables, with 40 800 hectares and 24 500 farmers that employ 60,000 people.

COEXPHAL , founded in 1977, defended the interests of producers and exporters , and brings together 58 companies . ECOCHAL , created in 1993, consists of 19 companies in the provinces of Almeria and Granada that produce 1.5 million tons .
