In the summer of 2010 the logistics platform of the market of Udine will grow from 1600 to 5000 m2.
Announced by the Director of Market and president of Udine Comau (Consortium of operators in the agri-food market Udine) Joseph Pavan, the project also includes construction of new docks for loading and unloading, new roads and a new entry.
The Agriculture-Food Wholesale Market of Udine (Mercato Agroalimentare all’Ingrosso di Udine) currently handles about 1 million quintals of fresh fruit and vegetable produce per year.
In a particularly ideal position in terms of road connections the market of Udine exports towards neighbouring countries such as Austria, Slovenia, Croatia, the Czech and Slovak Republics, Hungary and Romania.
