INTERPOMA 2018: "Apple in the World" Congres will invite to look East

Congress participants will have a complete overview of all the countries and regions where the production of apples is changing, from Eastern Europe to Japan via Russia, the Middle East and the Republics of Central Asia.
INTERPOMA, the biennial event organized by Fiera Bolzano and exclusively dedicated to the apple industry, will take place from October 15 to 17. In this edition, the conference "The Apple in the World" will offer a detailed and exhaustive panaroma of what is happening in the East, from Eastern Europe to Japan.
Kurt Worth, Congress Organizer and Coordinator, gave an overview of some of the topics that will be covered. An invitation to a trip to the East. Along with Russia, which is investing heavily in land and resources, is the rapidly developing Central Asian country like Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan.
Discussions will also focus on Iran, one of the largest apple producers in the world in terms of quantity, but also on Central and Eastern European countries such as Croatia, Slovenia, the Czech Republic and Slovakia. As well as the Far East, South Korea and Japan but also China.
A special focus will be devoted solely to China, which is the world's leading producer of apples with 43 to 45 million tonnes a year (world production is about 83 to 85 million tonnes), with a lecture by Professor Yuan Yongbing of Qingdao Agricultural University.
The "Apple in the World" Congress will take place on the 15th and 16th of November at the 11th edition of INTERPOMA, in Fiera Bolzano.
