An alternative market for Turkey: Thailand

In this context, the Turkish Exporters Council, in cooperation with the Union of Exporters Aegean, organized the first Turkish-Thai international conference of agricultural products in Taipei, Thailand. This was an opportunity for the Turkish business delegation of 45 companies to know the customs requirements of Thailand, the necessary documents. Interviews between Turkish companies and 70 Thai companies have allowed exporters to increase contacts. Logistics had not been forgotten since the cargo section of the Turkish Airlines was also there.

Thailand is currently the rising star of the Far East. In 2015, the Turkish agricultural exports to that country rose 30 percent to $ 18 million. In particular, the Turkish cherry is a popular product and efforts of Turkish exporters should focus inter alia on the fruit.

Thailand will participate in Expo 2016 Antalya and Turkey will participate for the third time with a national pavilion at Thaifex, to be held from May 25 to 29, 2016 in Bangkok.
