A new freezing system has been launched to preserve fruit and vegetables, keeping the same texture and and nutritional properties of fresh fruit..
Nice fruit, a Catalan company which is a leader in Spain for the manufacture and distribution of fruit and vegetables fourth line, has introduced its new technology: Nice Cold System in Mercabarna.
Developed in conjunction with the UPC (Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya) this system is a world first
. Fruits and vegetables are peeled or cut, subject to a certain degree of dehydration, then frozen. They keep for up to three years and have the same properties as fresh produce.
The inauguration took place at Mercabarna with the Mayor of Barcelona, officials of the Generalitat de Catalunya and twenty entrepreneurs from China, interested in exploiting this new system in their country.
