Senegal is now the second biggest mango exporter to Europe.
FJ
In 2014 Senegal succeeded to significantly increase its level of exportation of mango towards markets in the European Union.
Last year Senegal exported 10 247 tonnes of mango, 2 000 tonnes more than in the previous year.
The volume exported in 2014 to the EU, sends Senegal to the second place within the countries of Eastern-Africa. Ivory coast stands in the first position.
Senegal is planning on developing its exportation. The country has room from improvement in this area. In fact we estimate that the levels of exportations of mango today is about a tenth of its full production.
