Poland has set itself the goal of increasing food exports to South Korea.
'Be the first European supplier of South Korea', was the aim of the Polish Minister of Agriculture at a seminar on the Polish food industry in Seoul.
Minister Marek Sawicki stressed that Poland is currently the fourth largest trading partner of South Korea within the EU. Last year Poland exported 45 million euros of food to Korea. Pork makes the majority
of these exports but fruit and vegetables (potatoes, cabbage, cucumbers) could find a place in the Korean market.
The minister said Poland may become the largest European supplier of food in South Korea. Stressing the traditional methods of production, quality and taste. A promotional campaign on the same issues "Tradition, quality, taste" was launched.
