ProChile estimates that this opening could generate $28 million in the short term.
Six Chilean products will soon be exported to Indonesia following the country's recent sanitary approval. These include frozen blueberries, cherries, kiwis, and grapes, as well as shelled and unshelled nuts, according to authorities from the Ministry of Agriculture, Odepa, ProChile, and industry associations.
This opening will help diversify markets and strengthen Chilean agro-exports. ProChile estimates that it could generate $28 million in the short term.
Exporters will have to comply with phytosanitary requirements, such as SAG certificates and destination inspections. It is also expected to open the market for Chilean lemons and advance in phytosanitary agreements with Indonesia.
