Shelf life of mangoes extends in 46 days

This new technology will allow Pakistani mangoes to be sold in quantities more important for export.
A Pakistani company invented a unique technique to prolong shelf life of mangoes in 46 days.
Durrani Associates, the innovative company specified to have invested millions of rupees in search since 1983. The company explained that the treatment of warm water is used to eliminate bacteria of fruits before their export. It developed a technology semi-waterproofness which helps to protect freshness of mangoes after the heat treatment. "
Durrani delivered its first lot of mangoes on May 24th to a Netherlands buyer. Mango reached its destination in 28 days. When all fruits were sold, picking and packaging was made since 46 days.
Pakistan occupies the 5th rank of 23 producing countries of mangoes. The production of this year reached approximately 1,8 million tons of fruits among which only 130.000 tons left to the export.
