The peak weeks of Chilean blueberry exports end up with more than 104 thousand tons shipped.

According to the Chilean Blueberry Committee (Asoex), export volumes decreased during week 5, reaching 5.996 tons, which means the end of the peak weeks in Chile.
The latest Crop Report by IQonsulting shows that the export volumes of the south central zone fell during week 5, mainly those from the Maule region, as expected due to the rains of week 4.
The southern zone, despite performing the highest export volumes, already tends to decrease.
The Committee highlights that the shipments of week 5 were higher than the same week of previous season, and the accumulated shows a rise of 4.9 percent compared to 2019/20, with 104.724 tons shipped. Of this total volume, North America has received 51 percent of the total volume, Europe accounted for 31 percent and the Far East for 11 percent.
Organic blueberries also passed the peak with 1.465 tons exported during week 5, totalling 17.706 tons, which means an increase of 25 percent, compared to the same date of the previous year. The North American market accounts for 77 percent of shipments of organic blueberries, and Europe accounts for 23 percent.
