Egyptian exports set new volume record

Citrus is by far at the top of the Egyptian export volume ranking for 2022 (Photo: madeinegypt.net).
With an increase of around 700,000 tons compared to the previous year, Egyptian agricultural exports set a new record in terms of volume.
According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Land Development, Egyptian agricultural exports exceeded 6.3 million tonnes in 2022. This represents an increase of around 700,000 tonnes from the 5.6 million tonnes exported the previous year
In 2022 the main exported products were citrus fruits (1.7 million tons), potatoes (621,900 tons) and onions (510,552 tons).
