New world record: 70,000 pounds of bananas in one store: 1776 boxes!
A world record has been broken: the largest display of bananas in the world in a single store. The variety of display was Chiquita.
Established in Discount Foods in Shawnee (Oklahoma), the new world record of 70,000 pounds of bananas, encompassing 1776 boxes
from 37 pallets. The previous record set in 2009 was 66,000 pounds of bananas.
Miss Chiquita was there to the delight of customers. The store plans to quickly sell the bananas at the special price of $1 for 5 pounds.
