New General Manager at The Greenery

The Supervisory Board of "The Greenery B.V." appointed Ton Wortel, as General Manager of the company, he will assume his duties from 1 July 2014. Acting Director General, Okke Koo, resigns on June 30.

Tom Wortel, has extensive international experience in the food and non-food industry. He worked in various companies (Mediamarkt-Saturn, Marktkauf Nederland GmbH, Dirk van den Broek Supermarkets), last year he led a restructuring project for Metro Cash & Carry Ukraine.

Its mission is to pursue the new strategy in place and continue the restructuring. The first 6 months of 2014 are encouraging, with the achievement of a significant reduction in costs and a +4% growth in production volumes.

The Greenery BV accounts 720 affiliated producers, and has subsidiaries in many countries: Belgium, Spain, United Kingdom, Poland, Italy, Russia, Romania, Brazil, United States.
