DLG Benelux, after having organized PotatoEurope on several occasions in Emmeloord, moves the event to Lelystad. The facilities offered by WUR (Wageningen University & Research) allow the organizers to cope with all weather conditions as PotatoEurope is primarily an outdoor event.
WUR (Wageningen University & Research) and DLG Benelux signed a contract for the hosting of PotatoEurope 2021 at the Wageningen Plant Research site in Lelystad on September 1 and 2. The event will welcome more than 250 exhibitors from all over the world and will welcome more than 16,000 visitors in 2 days.
This new site for PotatoEurope is located in the province of Flevoland, which is at the heart of one of the most important potato-producing regions in the Netherlands and only 60 kilometers from Amsterdam. Lelystad is the main site of WUR's field crop business unit and covers a total of over 700 hectares.
For PotatoEurope 2021, an area of approximately 20 hectares is planned, allowing the organizers to organize large demonstrations of machines, to host test fields, and of course a space dedicated to the exhibition as well as to the organized conferences.
PotatoEurope is an international event exclusively dedicated to the entire potato chain. This event takes place every year in one of the 4 partner countries of the event: Germany, Belgium, France and the Netherlands.
