Cider is becoming very popular in Poland

The country has an annual production of about 2.6 million tons of apples which are a major export product.

But Russia's decision to stop importing Polish potatoes has forced producers to find new markets and new opportunities . Among those opportunities : cider.

Within months the cider has become a popular drink: its consumption increased from 2 million liters in 2013 to 10 million in 2014. Given a 5-fold increase.

Now industry professionals are considering the short term , a national consumption by 30 to 50 million liters per year. Then, for the rest , they hope a similar or greater consumption volume consumed in France ( 80 million liters per year).
