In Thailand, fruit exports recorded an excellent performance in 2021 with an increase of +48% in value.
According to data from the Global Trade Atlas, fruit exports in 2021 totaled USD 6.2 billion, an increase of +48% in value compared to the previous year. Thailand is the world's 7th largest fruit exporter.
This spectacular increase can be explained by new consumer trends. At the time of the pandemic but also afterwards, the desire of consumers for a healthier diet led to an increase in the consumption of fruits and fruit juices.
