VU
The figures point to a challenging year for Peru’s fresh pea sector, marked by lower volumes but resilient pricing and continued demand from its core markets in North America and Europe.
Peru’s fresh pea exports declined in 2025, with total FOB value reaching US$44.4 million and volumes at 13,231 tonnes, representing year-on-year drops of around 10% in value and 9% in volume, according to Agrodata. Average export prices remained largely stable at US$3.36 per kilo, indicating that the weaker performance was mainly driven by lower shipment volumes.
By destination in 2025, the United States was the leading market, accounting for US$18.3 million, or 41% of total export value. The United Kingdom followed with US$14.9 million (34%), while the Netherlands absorbed US$9.5 million (21%). Japan represented around 3%, with only marginal volumes shipped to Spain, Belgium and Germany.
