Tropical Fruit Congress at MACFRUT 2018

The leading operators of global avocado and mango production and trade will meet at MACFRUT as a unique international event.
TROPICAL FRUIT CONGRESS, the first European summit dedicated to avocado and mango, will take place in the framework of MACFRUT 2018 in Fiera di Rimini on May 10th and 11th, 2018.
The 2-day event will examine current market, consumer and trade trends, broadening the focus on scientific developments, technologies and product sales methods that are increasingly in demand in global markets. The Forum will focus in particular on the Italian, German and French markets.
In recent years, avocado consumption has grown significantly in Europe and North America. According to data from WAO (World Organization of the Advocate), in Europe in 2015, more than 350,000 tons of avocado were consumed. In 2016, consumption is increased by 10% and in 2017, a further increase of more than 15% is expected. In Italy, last year, the growth of avocado consumption experienced a real boom that reached + 76%.
The situation of the mango is identical. Consumption is increasing all over the world, and in Italy it is growing at 2 digits, so that it reached + 22% in volume during the first quarter of 2017.
Summit speakers will be the world's leading experts on these types of tropical fruits.
