Eckes-Granini and Yildiz Holding are founding a joint venture in which they will share production and distribution.
The Eckes-Granini Group, one of the leading fruit juice producers in Europe and Yildiz Holding, the leading company in the Turkish fast-moving consumer goods market agreed on the foundation of a joint, full-scale fruit-beverage subsidiary in Turkey.
The company will be formed as a 50-50%-owned joint venture. Equal emphasis will be placed on building premium brands owned by both parties as well as distribution in the retail trade and establishing a firm foothold in the out-of-home sector.
The Eckes-Granini Group GmbH, based in Nieder-Olm, close to Mainz (Germany), is one of the leading brand producers of fruit-based beverages in Europe, with 14 national organizations and 1,450 employees, exporting into 70 countries. The Group recorded an annual turnover of 827 million Euro in 2009.
Yildiz Holding possesses 53 factories in Turkey, employs 29.500 persons and has a turnover of 10,9 billion dollars.
Yildiz Holding now operates in a wide range of areas ranging from biscuits to chocolates, soft drinks to milk and dairy products, baby food to personal care products and packaging with 65 production and marketing companies.
Yildiz recently acquired Godiva, famous brand of chocolate.
