In 2022, La Libertad, one of the most important regions for the agricultural sector in Peru, sold more than $3,060 million in export and import merchandise, through the Salaverry Customs Intendency, according to the National Customs and Customs Administration Superintendency (Sunat ).
The value of imports that entered through the Salaverry port last year totaled $1,013 million, while exports through Customs exceeded $2,047 million.
The most imported agricultural goods in the region were yellow corn ($265 million) and soybean oil cakes ($226 million), among others.
