This year's crops of white cabbage will amount to 1.2 million tons
The prices of the white cabbage are slowly growing. On Wednesday, September 2 the price was 0.30-0.45 PLN (0.07-0.11 euro)/kg.
The current demand on the domestic market is quite big.
Producers hope that on the Russian market the demand will also be better than in last season.

Polish Central Statistic Office (GUS) estimated in July that this year’s crops of white cabbage will amount to 1.2 million tons i.e. about 3 % higher than in 2008. However one should remember about adverse weather conditions in July which influenced the supply of the cabbage.
The crops at the level 1.2 million tons are only about 91 % of long-term average crops in 2001 - 2005. So there are good prospects for growth in sales of white cabbage.
