MES, the new Hapag-Lloyd line connects the Mediterranean to the East Coast of USA

This new line will begin in the third quarter of 2014.

Already offering a wide coverage in the Mediterranean / North America service, the company Hapag-Lloyd announces the replacement of the current MAS line by the new MES (Mediterranean / U.S. East Coast Service) whose itinerary is as follows:

Piraeus • Haifa • Livorno • Genoa • Tarragona • Barcelona • Valencia • New York • Norfolk • Savannah • Valencia • Tarragona • Livorno • Piraeus.

Hapag-Lloyd operates 150 vessels with the total capacity of approximately 730,000 TEU (Twenty-foot Equivalent Unit, Twenty Feet Equivalent) carries about 5 million TEU per year, employs 7,000 employees at 300 locations in 114 countries.
