TOMRA Food joins forces with ICOEL

This week TOMRA Food has informed about a new collaboration with ICOEL S.r.l.

The new agreement places ICOEL as an integrated partner of TOMRA Food for the application of cherries in Latin America and as its commercial partner for Europe. The synergies between both companies will contribute to strengthening not only sales but also customer service and assistance offered by both businesses in these markets.

TOMRA Food develops and manufactures sensor-based sorting machines, as well as sizing and peeling solutions.

ICOEL develops and manufactures equipment for the handling, packaging and processing of fruit, packaging emptying systems, for treatment, automated and manual processing, for packaging filling and handling.

Paul Slupecki, Global Sales Director of TOMRA Fresh Food, commented that both companies have done everything with the user in mind. Now that ICOEL and TOMRA are partners, they work with the same processes and share both information and resources.

Slupecki specified that the sales and technical support of the two teams will be centralized in the same place, making life easier for the user. This alliance also offers ICOEL and TOMRA more possibilities in large projects.

According to Bruno Stravato, General Director of ICOEL, ICOEL's solutions integrate TOMRA's, which is very important because new processing applications are being interconnected.

He explained that his clients are looking for greater integration that will allow them to improve the quality of their offer of solutions and services.

Initially, TOMRA and ICOEL will focus on Europe (Italy, Greece and Turkey), and in the long term they hope to enter other markets around the world.

Customers who have equipment from both TOMRA and ICOEL will benefit from a unique and comprehensive after-sales service from both companies.
