As reported by the Ministry of Agrarian Development and Irrigation (Midagri) of Peru, the Israel Plant Inspection and Protection Service (PPIS) communicated to the National Agrarian Health Service (Senasa) of Peru the phytosanitary requirements that will allow the export of Peruvian blueberries to this new destination.
Access was achieved thanks to the efforts of Senasa, which, as Midagri's strategic arm, will be responsible for ensuring that the requirements established by Israel are met.
Senasa confirmed to the PPIS, that exported blueberries will come from certified fields, will be processed by authorized packers; and after a phytosanitary inspection, they will undergo cold treatment.
