The official Commission, composed of subject specialists from different agencies and responsible for controlling the maturity of citrus fruits, authorized the cutting of the early Miho Wase varieties on the 22nd of September 2017 for export on the 26th of September. This variety, whose harvest has spread in recent years in Turkey, is the earliest mandarin cultivated in this country. It's a few days earlier than last season.
The authorization to cut the other varieties of easy peelers should follow with the Okitsu, the Marisol and the traditional Satsuma in late September and early October. A large harvest is expected in general of all varieties and the producers hope that the weather will allow this excellent season to be successful.
