Costa Rica ships its pineapples to China for the first time

 

 

This first expedition left the port of Caldera, in Puntarenas, for Shanghai. Comprising a dozen containers or a little more than 15 000 cartons of pineapple.

 

 

 

This expedition is the culmination of a demanding process, strict controls and checks to meet the guidelines of the Chinese authorities. Industry professionals expect a rapid increase in volumes in this important market, with a promotion in Asia through active participation in Asia Fruit Logistica.
