Growth in Peruvian onion exports

Between January and November 2021, Peru exported 266,981,413 kilos of fresh onion worth $93,968,888. It is a moderate increase from the 220,859,866 kilos exported in the same term of 2020 for $83,638,432, according to the Agrodata portal.

The main destination of these shipments in 2021 was the United States, with placements for $59.7 million (64% of the total), at an average value of $0.41 per kilo.

During the 12 months of 2020, Peruvian onion exports totaled 262,638,264 kilos for $99,383,170.
