Peru’s fruit and vegetable exports grew strongly in the first seven months of 2025, helping the country maintain its position as a leading global supplier, according to data from the Center for Research on Global Economy and Business of the Association of Exporters (CIEN-ADEX).
From January to July, fruit shipments reached USD 3.29 billion, up 19.2% compared to last year, and made up more than half of the country’s agroindustrial exports. Fresh avocados remained the top product, with exports of USD 1.08 billion, an increase of 6.4%. Vegetables and other plant products contributed USD 881.6 million, a rise of nearly 10%.
In July alone, fruit exports totalled USD 511.4 million, up 8.4% year on year, while vegetables brought in USD 146.1 million, down 1.1% from last year’s level.
Fruits continue to be the backbone of Peru’s agroindustry, representing more than half of its agricultural exports and nearly one-fifth of the country’s total agroexport value.
