ASAJA has launched the 12th edition of Spain’s National Young Farmer Award 2026, aimed at recognizing young agricultural producers with innovative projects in the field. Applications are open until 15 September 2026, according to AVA-ASAJA.
The call is open to participants under 40 years old who have Spanish nationality or operate a farm project in Spain. Candidates must submit a description of their project, audiovisual material and the completed application form.
The award will select three winning projects in the categories of best digital project, best energy efficiency project and best social commitment project. Each category winner will receive €1,500 and an invitation to the European Congress of Young Farmers in Brussels.
From these three winners, the jury will choose the overall National Young Farmer 2026. The top project will receive an additional €2,500, bringing the total prize to €4,000, plus a trip for two people to Brussels, where the winner will represent Spain.
The initiative is part of the European Awards for Innovation and Sustainability in Agriculture, promoted by the European Parliament. For young producers, the competition offers visibility for projects linked to digitalization, resource efficiency and new models for agricultural development.
