Scientific tests performed on r-PET trays for table grapes, confirm the importance of ventilation holes to improve shelf life.
ILIP has launched a project with the Department of Plant Sciences at the University of Bologna to learn more about the impact of packaging. It aims to improve the technical and functional characteristics of the packaging and make them more effective in terms of protection and preservation.
The partnership includes a series of studies and comparisons between different types
of packaging products by ILIP and its competitors. The first tests were carried out on the range r-PET for table grapes.
The tests confirmed the fundamental role played by ventilation holes in the upper part of the tray, allowing the products to maintain optimum quality.
