The disease is spreading inexorably and now affects 936 orchard, 28% of orchards in the country.
The spread of the disease is continuing with now 28% of orchards infected. Kiwi Vine Health, the body responsible for surveillance and the fight against the disease, now counts 936 infected orchards with the majority (776) located
near Te Puke.
51% of the hectares planted with gold kiwifruit and 33% of hectares of green kiwifruit are affected by PSA but not all of the trees in these orchards have contracted the disease.
