The sales growth in Asia offsets moderate results in its domestic market.
The group of british supermarket Tesco PLC announced its sales figures for the third quarter.
Its sales increased by 8.2% over the previous year. Growing its business abroad, particularly in Asia, offset a moderate market.
International sales increased 15% with a gain of 23% in Asia, while growth in total sales in the UK fell to 4.9%.
The company generates about 2 / 3 of its sales in the United Kingdom, where it is the largest supermarket chain, and the remaining third coming from sales in Asia, Europe and the United States.
