Commission official responsible for monitoring the maturity of citrus authorized cutting the mandarin variety, Miho Wase-produced in south-east Turkey on the 23rd of September and will be exported from the 28th of September.
The citrus season started this year very early (September 2nd for lemons), but it seems that the market situation has dampened the enthusiasm of exporters, with pesticide problems on lots of Turkish lemons in Europe and additional accruals at European borders. Prices are falling, despite promising an early season.
The previous season had seen exports peeler fell by 15 percent, due to problems with Russia.
