Peruvian exports of Hass avocado already exceed $703 million

Between January and June 2021, Peru exported 341.769.797 kilos of Hass avocado for a FOB value of $703.029.732. These figures show a significant increase from the 267.334.400 kilos exported in the same period of the previous year valued at $509.197.907.

According to a report from the Agrodata Peru portal, the main destination of these supplies in the period corresponding to the first half of 2021 was the Netherlands, with placements of $253.170.818 (36% of total shipments). Followed by Spain with $108.226.267, United States with $96.148.334, Chile with $85.069.562, United Kingdom with $45.211.908, China with $22.283.374, South Korea with $21.830.341, Hong Kong with $19.892.598, Russia with $16.201.069 and others that together totaled $14.164.832.

According to analyst Fernando Cillóniz, avocado, blueberry and grape are the agri products that most likely will reach or exceed the goal of $1 billion in exports in 2021.
