Vital Berry looks to Asia

Specialising in the export of berries and exotic fruits, Vital Berry predicts that blueberry exports to China will increase sharply.
 
Vital Berry has just completed its first export of blueberries for China. The first shipment included 1,125 cases, the equivalent of 1.7 tons of blueberries. China has recently opened its doors to blueberries from Chile, which is the first country to have access to the Chinese market for this product.

Vital Berry has high expectations and estimates that for the 2011/2012 season sales could reach 3,000 tons, or 3.5% of blueberry production exported by the company.

Vital Berry’s major export destinations are the United States, Europe and Japan. But with the opening of China, Vital Berry wants to diversify its markets and plans to expand in India and South Korea.
