Unexpected export of potatoes

After the prohibitive prices of last season due to a decline in production , the potato producers of the main producing area of Turkey, Nigde , had obtained this year a larger production, which lowers prices and makes vegetable to be stock until the price rises.

Better days seem to have been seen as currently about 200 trucks , about 5000 tons of potatoes are exported every day to different countries . This is Syria, which is ahead of demand, followed by Iraq, Georgia, Bulgaria, Bosnia and Greece .

Although the competition with potatoes from Iran remains rough , producers are pretty sure to sell all their stocks.
