Spanish grapes for Vietnam, the 1st cargo has departed

Spanish professionals in the grape sector have managed to open a new export market. A few days ago 4 containers containing 100,000 kilos of table grapes, without seeds, were shipped to Vietnam.

 

 

 

The transport in refrigerated containers is carried out by boat, with a crossing which will last between 18 and 20 days.

 

 

 

According to Apoexpa (Asociación de Productores-Exportadores de Frutas, Uva de Mesa and Otros Productos Agrarios) Vietnam is an interesting market for producers and exporters in the Murcia region. The country is already receiving grapes from California and Australia. Murcia seedless grapes will be sold in Vietnam as a "Premium" product.

 

 

 

Last December, the export protocol was approved between Spain and Vietnam. A Vietnamese delegation came to Spain in July to visit the facilities of Spanish professionals. The region of Murcia, the main national producer of table grapes, is the only one to have obtained the authorization to export to Vietnam.
