More shipments of Peruvian asparagus and table grapes

Peruvian table grape shipments are projected to increase by as much as 20% this season, up from 39,119 tons in 2008/09, as new orchards continue to enter into production in the north.

 

 

Asparagus exports are also expected to increase to 120,000 tons this year, despite a slow start to 2009 after shipments fell by 18% and 12% respectively in January and February.
