The Irrigation Association announced about Smart Irrigation Month in July
July is a Smart Irrigation Month – the initiative of the US Irrigation Association, provides an opportunity for the irrigation industry to promote the importance and value of smart irrigation methods.
Water is the most precious resources. We use all benefits of smart irrigation around us, in the food we eat, in the fresh air that we breathe, in the yards and green spaces, where we rest.
July 7, 2020 is the date when Smart Irrigation Month will start. On this day (Tuesday), irrigation professionals are encouraged to wear blue. This is done in order to raise awareness about everything that constitutes smart irrigation, including people and technologies that efficiently apply water to agricultural fields, landscapes and turf grass around the world.
The IA focuses on the people behind smart irrigation, celebrating the professionals who are making a significant impact on managing water supplies. On the association website, they are invited to share their stories about smart irrigation, and how they used it in their work or promoted its benefits to customers.
IA Government and Public Affairs Director John Farner said, “With the challenges our industry and the world are facing right now with the COVID-19 crisis, we are proud to be able to celebrate our industry through Smart Irrigation Month. It is our opportunity to showcase the value and importance of efficient irrigation.”
Irrigation industry continues to be at the forefront of developing technologies for the most efficient and rational use of water. Smart Irrigation Month will make it possible to celebrate the people who make it all happen.
