Fruit exports increase by +34%
FJ
Prodigious jump for fruit exports from New Zealand.
The data published by Statistics New Zealand show a remarkable increase in exports for the month of March compared to last year: +45% for exports of dairy products, +11.8% for exports of meat and +34 % for fruit exports.
Exports totaled NZ $ 5 billion (U.S. $ 4.25 billion) for the month of March and produced the biggest trade surplus recorded to 920 million NZ $.
It is a strong Asian demand, particularly that of China which has resulted in the growth of exports. This demand which should be amplified will continue to drive the rate of exports upwards.
