Frankort and Koning announces Brazil's melons

Frankort and Koning gets ready to receive soon a very important production of Brazil...

A bumper crop is planned for season to come to Brazil: the production will be 40 % more important than last year.

Frankort and Koning, with their counterparts Total Produce and Chiquita, gets ready from now to the end of August / beginning of September.

First harvest will start from week 32. Stronger varieties, new production techniques and improved post harvest treatments will ensure stronger and better melons for exports.

The start will be made with Galia, Cantaloupe, yellow and watermelons; Piel de sapo varieties will start a few weeks later …

After a successful 2009/2010 season, Brazil feels very confident for future, with all these improvements, they will be able to meet customer’s requirements.
