Brazil to resume imports of apples and pears from Argentina

Argentinean experts from SENASA (Servicio Nacional de Sanidad y Calidad Agroalimentaria) met with their Brazilian counterparts and an agreement was reached to resume Argentinian fruit shipments to Brazil.
SENASA announced the agreement with Brazil. A delegation from Argentina visited Brazil and an agreement was reached. Argentina's proposals to intensify the monitoring and control of the production of these 2 fruits for this season have been accepted.
The agreement will be finalized as of its publication in the Brazilian Official Journal.
Revenues from apple and pear exports to Brazil will amount to about $150 million, notably for the provinces of Río Negro and Neuquén.
