30% drop in mango production

The decline in mango production will lower the volume of exports.
Pakistan estimates that its mango production will be down 30%.
Adverse weather conditions have affected many parts of the country and the Association of Exporters (All Pakistan Fruit and Vegetable Exporters, Importers and Merchant Association) sees a 30% drop in production. The country is expected to produce only 1.2
million tons of mangoes this year compared to 1.7 million tons last season.
Pakistan will begin exports of mangoes from May 25 and the initial target of 0.170 million tons exported was reduced to 0.15 million tons. Last year exports reached 0.134 million tons.
