In Tunisia, pomegranate production has been progressing for several years, with the entry into production of many plantations.
During SIAT 2022, the International Investment and Agricultural Technology Fair which took place from October 12 to 15, 2022, Tarek Tira, the deputy director in charge of exports at GIFruits (Interprofessional Grouping of Fruits) announced that the production of pomegranates is expected to vary by -4% compared to the previous year due to certain unfavorable weather factors
For this season, production is estimated at 103,000 tonnes, a very satisfactory volume.
